Samjho Bharat does not ask for any personal information. There is no login, sign-up or form. The app does not collect your name, phone number, email, location, contacts or photos.
To load faster and work offline, the app saves the list of articles on your phone. Your saved articles (⭐), text size and language choice also stay only on your phone. This data is not sent to us. Clearing the app's data removes it.
The "Listen" button reads articles aloud using your phone's own text-to-speech voice.
Notifications: If you turn on notifications, the app checks from time to time whether a new article has been published and shows an alert on your phone. No personal information is used for this. You can turn notifications off at any time in your phone's settings.
Articles are written in Hindi or English. When you choose another language, the app requests the translated text from our own translation service, which runs on Google Apps Script and uses Google's translation service. The app sends only the chosen language and the article identifier. It does not send any personal information.
If a translation is not ready yet, the "Read this article in your language" button opens the article through Google Translate in your browser. Google's privacy policy applies to that page.
Articles come from our blog on Google Blogger, and videos come from YouTube. The app is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any website, these services receive basic technical information (such as your IP address and device type) when content is loaded, under their own privacy policies: Google Privacy Policy and GitHub Privacy Statement.
Videos play in the embedded YouTube player. YouTube may use cookies or device information under its own policy. This information goes to YouTube (Google), not to us.
Comments open on our Blogger blog. If you choose to comment, Blogger's (Google's) policies apply. Social media links open the related website or app.
The app currently shows no ads. If ads are added in the future, this policy will be updated before that happens.
This app is meant for general readers. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
If this policy changes, this page will be updated with a new date.

समझो भारत ऐप आपसे कोई निजी जानकारी नहीं माँगता। इसमें कोई लॉगिन, रजिस्ट्रेशन या फ़ॉर्म नहीं है। ऐप आपका नाम, फ़ोन नंबर, ईमेल, लोकेशन, कॉन्टैक्ट या फ़ोटो नहीं लेता।
ऐप तेज़ चलने और ऑफ़लाइन पढ़ने के लिए खबरों की सूची आपके फ़ोन में ही सहेजता है। आप जो लेख सहेजते (⭐) हैं, अक्षर का आकार और भाषा की पसंद भी सिर्फ़ आपके फ़ोन में रहती है। यह डेटा हमारे पास नहीं आता। ऐप का डेटा साफ़ (Clear data) करने पर यह हट जाता है।
"सुनें" बटन आपके फ़ोन की अपनी आवाज़ (text-to-speech) से लेख पढ़ता है।
सूचना (Notifications): अगर आप सूचना चालू करते हैं, तो ऐप समय-समय पर देखता है कि कोई नई खबर आई है या नहीं, और आपके फ़ोन पर सूचना दिखाता है। इसके लिए कोई निजी जानकारी इस्तेमाल नहीं होती। सूचना कभी भी फ़ोन की Settings से बंद की जा सकती है।
लेख हिंदी या अंग्रेज़ी में लिखे जाते हैं। जब आप कोई दूसरी भाषा चुनते हैं, तो ऐप हमारी अपनी अनुवाद सेवा से अनुवाद मँगाता है। यह सेवा Google Apps Script पर चलती है और Google की अनुवाद सेवा का इस्तेमाल करती है। ऐप सिर्फ़ चुनी गई भाषा और लेख की पहचान (ID) भेजता है, कोई निजी जानकारी नहीं।
अगर किसी लेख का अनुवाद अभी तैयार नहीं है, तो "यह लेख अपनी भाषा में पढ़ें" वाला बटन लेख को आपके ब्राउज़र में Google Translate से खोलता है। उस पेज पर Google की गोपनीयता नीति लागू होती है।
ऐप में लेख हमारे Google Blogger ब्लॉग से और वीडियो YouTube से आते हैं। ऐप GitHub Pages पर चलता है। किसी भी वेबसाइट की तरह, सामग्री खुलते समय इन सेवाओं को सामान्य तकनीकी जानकारी (जैसे IP पता और डिवाइस का प्रकार) मिलती है, जिस पर इनकी अपनी नीतियाँ लागू होती हैं: Google Privacy Policy और GitHub Privacy Statement।
वीडियो YouTube के embedded प्लेयर से चलते हैं। वीडियो चलाने पर YouTube अपनी नीति के अनुसार cookies या डिवाइस से जुड़ी जानकारी इस्तेमाल कर सकता है। यह जानकारी YouTube (Google) के पास जाती है, हमारे पास नहीं।
टिप्पणी (Comment) का बटन हमारा Blogger ब्लॉग खोलता है। टिप्पणी करने पर Blogger (Google) की नीतियाँ लागू होती हैं। सोशल मीडिया लिंक खोलने पर संबंधित वेबसाइट या ऐप खुलता है।
अभी ऐप में कोई विज्ञापन नहीं है। आगे विज्ञापन जोड़े गए, तो उससे पहले यह नीति अपडेट की जाएगी।
यह ऐप सामान्य पाठकों के लिए है। हम जान-बूझकर किसी बच्चे की निजी जानकारी नहीं लेते।
इस नीति में बदलाव होने पर नई तिथि के साथ यही पेज अपडेट किया जाएगा।
